Tarcisio Mahanhe is Director of Wholesale Banking at Access Bank Mozambique, a member of the Access Bank PLC Group (Nigeria). He holds a Master's degree in Banking & International Finance from Cass Business School, London, and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Brasília, Brazil.

Tarcisio Mahanhe has a deep knowledge of the Mozambican reality, result of more than 20 years developing strategies focused on companies' financial targets. Throughout his career, he became a regular presence at meetings with the Central Bank on subjects like payment systems, Forex and monetary policies, and several other matters – in addition to interactions with the Ministry of Finance and the Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM). He led and developed several teams, promoting the professional growth of the employees involved.

His professional career began at Banco Internacional de Moçambique (BIM) in 2000, where he was a Senior Monetary Market Operator and, soon after, Deputy Director of the Treasury Department for two years. He was responsible for a balance sheet worth approximately $700 million.

In 2008, he joined BancABC as Head of Operations in the Treasury Department, in whose restructuring he collaborated, driving the bank's financial growth from 47 million dollars in 2008 to 147 million dollars in 2011.

In 2012, he took on the position of Deputy Director of the Treasury Department at Moza Banco, revitalizing it through redesign, sales strategies and project execution, boosting revenue from 2.5 million dollars in 2011 to 10.2 million of dollars in 2013. In 2013, he led the Advisory Department and the Initial Public Offering of Companhia de Moçambique's bonds. Tarcísio Mahanhe was a pioneer in issuing Moza Banco's first commercial paper and bonds, as well as listing it on the Mozambique Stock Exchange (BVM). He represented the bank in meetings with the Bank of Mozambique related to the Forex money market, and in meetings with the IMF and the Mozambican financial sector. At Moza Banco he also headed the Risk, Credit, Marketing and Quality, Investment Banking and International Division departments.

In 2020, he began his career at Access Bank as a Chief Risk Officer, where he established the country's Risk Management framework. In compliance with Banco de Moçambique regulations and international standards, it ensured alignment of the risk profile with profitability targets, risk acceptance and tolerance criteria.

In his current role as Director of Wholesale Banking at Access Bank Mozambique, Tarcisio Mahanhe leads business development, contributing to the expansion of the bank and the country's economy.
