Access Bank is a global bank, employing more than 28,000 people, with more than 50 million customers in its subsidiaries in sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, France, Dubai, the UAE and representative offices in China, Lebanon and India.

It began operating in Mozambique in 2020, with the opening of its first branch in Maputo, where in 2021 it acquired BancABC, the seventh largest bank in Mozambique, increasing its national network to 11 branches with a presence in the provinces of Maputo, Sofafa, Manica, Nampula and Tete.

With more than 120,000 customers, its expansion plan in Mozambique includes new locations in Maputo, Gaza, Inhambane, Zambézia and Cabo Delgado.
